Dress Description:
Drop shoulders, shoulder yoke, curved bodice seams front and back,
*shell buttons down the front and wide ties at waist offer a beautiful bow in the back and a perfect fit.
*130” inches around at the hem, to easily fit over your hoopskirt.
* Waist to hem average length on all ladies sizes is 42 inches.Girls 36"average 90" around

Pin Bib Apron, Hat and Over-sleeves are made from white cotton muslin.

Other Great Features:
Extra button placed at hem. Hanger ties.Loops on the side of the dress to hold ties in place.
*Finished seams.
Written directions with illustrations are included for shorting dress with historic decorative tucks by machine or by hand if hemming is needed.
Size: measure just under the arms and across the chest.
HINT: if a tape measure is not available use a string, belt, ribbon, est. then measure the ribbon or other item used with a ruler or yard stick.

nurse costume set 1920's Nurse Costume
This nurse costume is a reproduction re-created from photos sent to us of nurses in the 1920's. This type of uniform was later transferred to the candy stripers as the nurse uniforms turned to white.
The dress buttons down the front, made of a cotton striped fabric much like ticking in design, but lighter in weight. The collar and cuffs are white. Hat and apron are made from a white cotton blend. Apron crosses over in the back and ties. Ladies size only.

We want you to be happy with your purchase. To be sure the fit is correct, MEASUREMENTS MUST ACCOMPANY ORDER.(You can do this at the time of order in the paypal comment box). Because of the difference in manufactures sizing today, just small medium or large will not be excepted. Send inch only measurements, for bust, waist, length from waist to floor . Then we will adjust according.

AN EXAMPLE ORDER (paypal comment box) "royal blue dress, 27-inch waist, 35-inch chest, 42 inches waist to floor. ( we will adjust accordingly)

Elizabeth Blackwell(1821-1910) First woman doctor and first in her class, and sister, Emily, also became a doctor.
Clara Barton (1821-1912) Cared for the sick and wounded soldiers in the Civil War, latter started the American Red Cross.
Harriet Tubman(1820-1913) Self feed slave that became a nurse, laundress, scout and spy for the union.
Sarah Emma Edmonds(1841-1898) Only official female veteran of the Union army, found in battles and spied behind the Confederate lines. Served the last two years as a nurse, then published her adventures.
Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) Civil war nurse and writer, in 1868 she wrote Little Women.
Susie King Taylor (1848-1912) First African American Nurse in the Union Army, opened a school for a freed slaves.
