The long full skirt, 120+ inches around at hem of the dress, can be worn with just petticoats, without a hoop for the prairie look, or with a small to large hoop for Civil War, Colonial, etc.
Bonnets are made from 100% cotton muslin, and are washable. Mobcaps are 19 1/2 inches around, with a reinforced button hole for the ribbon. Ribbon is long enough to lay the hat out for ironing after it is washed.
Add on sleeves and over-skirt are light weight cotton blend designed to be worn with our dress for Civil War, Victorian, Old West, Prairie, Pioneer costumes.

We want you to be happy with your purchase. To be sure the fit is correct, MEASUREMENTS MUST ACCOMPANY ORDER.(You can do this at the time of order in the paypal comment box). Because of the difference in manufactures sizing today, just small medium or large will not be excepted. Send inch only measurements, for bust, waist, length from waist to floor . Then we will adjust according.
AN EXAMPLE ORDER (paypal comment box) "royal blue dress, 27-inch waist, 35-inch chest, 42 inches waist to floor. ( we will adjust accordingly)

To the best of our knowledge the mobcap (mop cap) became very fashionable around 1780"s. Fabrics changed depending where you lived for the next 100 years. They were commonly used during the colonial and revolutionary periods. After the civil war they are seen in photos and art mostly on the serving class.
You pick the color of muslin ( white or beige) and the ribbon color ( white, black, blue purple, lavender. yellow, green, burgundy or pink).
All ladies dresses are made 43 inches long from the waist to the hem, and can be shortened with decorative tucks that were used through out history to decorate and size clothing. Length measurement must accompany payment for free hemming.
The sleeves are cut long and full with an elastic gathered cuff that can easily be changed for a different look.
Some Examples of how you can change your look with the sleeves:
1. Push the bottom of the sleeve up under the top of the sleeve and you have a sectioned slightly puffy sleeve.
2. Place add on bell sleeve over the long sleeve and push the dress's long sleeve up under the bell sleeve.
3. Easily add cuffs, over or under the wrist of the sleeve.
4. Tie the full sleeve with ribbons above and below the elbow, for a sectioned slightly puffy sleeve.

Our Basic Dress is made from a lightweight cotton blend fabric, to help ease the heavy layers associated with reenactment clothing, and for ease in care. (Wash in cold water, light iron if needed.) All dress seams are finished with turning and/or surging.
Add on pieces and sets, like Colonial sets , bustles, Pilgrim sets, Bonnets and aprons are available for this dress if needed.
