About us!
Littlehuggs is already in our sixth year of designing and making reenactment costumes. We got started by taking our three grandsons to re-enactments. We studied at the library and made all of our vintage and victorian costumes. Then we went to more living history events, like wildwest, French and Indian, buckskinning, renaissance, including civil war re-enactments. Soon other people wanted to come along, so we made their rendezvous and reproduction costumes too. Soon we did not know what to do with all the costumes, always wanting different ones (of course). So we started to sell them, hence our reenactment-clothing business began! I started alone after taking a historic sewing class but currently we have 5 parttime seamstresses and plan to extend our dress and underclothing line.
We now have over 120 costumes and history books in our own library. Littlehuggs makes mostly women's and children's re-enactment clothing and costumes, many from historic patterns. Recreations that we have made come from paintings and photos of historic clothing.
We love creating the clothing, and try to make it at a reasonable price, with different application for different times. This way it can be used more often and is easier for our customers to sell when they want a new costume. We work with true-blooded re-enactors, theaters, schoolchildren and teachers, etc., all with different needs and budgets.
With many basic patterns in stock, we feel we have something for everyone. But, if something special is needed, we would be happy to quote for a custom made item.

We want you to be happy with your purchase. To be sure the fit is correct, MEASUREMENTS MUST ACCOMPANY ORDER.(You can do this at the time of order in the paypal comment box). Because of the difference in manufactures sizing today, just small medium or large will not be excepted. Send inch only measurements, for bust, waist, length from waist to floor . Then we will adjust according.
AN EXAMPLE ORDER (paypal comment box) "royal blue dress, 27-inch waist, 35-inch chest, 42 inches waist to floor. ( we will adjust accordingly)
